The first International Facilitator Experience

HEY PEOPLE,

Information System AIESEC Conference (ISAC)is my first conference that I facilitated in BANDUNG, INDONESIA. It is a kind of surprise that when I reach to Indonesia, I felt like I am still somewhere in Malaysia because everyone just start talking in Bahasa Melayu. Well I reach Bandung at 19th Nov morning.

After checking out, I was brought to one AIESECer home. He is a very rich guy, the house contain a swimming pool and it just look grand. Inside the house got a pool table and a drum set.

A bad experience, I lost my US$50. Not in Indonesia but Malaysia Airport. LCCT.
The thing that make me laugh the whole day. As in the story, I lost US$50 and I left 550000 rupiah = RM200, the food in Indonesia is like "CHEAP LIKE a CANDY". You probably will have around RM4 one meal with quite high class food in Malaysia. Let say the first day, I went to eat Western food, I spend only RM12, for a Spaggeti Chicken Chop and a drink.

Well, lets move to the conference story. Well, the first day of the conference that was great because I was thinking that the IS conference for 5 days, will that be a bit redundant or not much info ? After I experience and planed the agenda, I realise actually we have lots of things to be cover and lucky we have Aditya from India, He is the Senior Musketeer, learn lots from him. I can say that I will regret if I am not apply for facilitator because we having so much fun and learn so much computer coding ans sharing every night. Actually we keep copy the files from each other because everyone is full with information with them.

The facilitators for this conference are Vin Lee (HongKong) , David Susandi (Indonesia), David Benjamin who will join NLDS Malaysia as facilitator (New Zealand), Aditya from India and me.

But before day 1, we have global Village at day 0. I actually saw Indah (I met her at India during APXLDS) and a few HEROES delegates (They came to Malaysia)also the Hong Kong delegate that I knew, that's why I always said that AIESEC network is in 2 degrees. This are some pictures of GV, another funny story, HK delegates actually bring a MAHJONG, then we are like teaching the Indonesian how to play MahJong in Malaysia Booth.

There is actually a very good experience for me to attend the ISAC as a facilitator and I learn much more than I believe if I join as facilitator. We are actually suppose to teach the members together with NLDS and MNC tracks for the myaiesec.net session. I was the EMCEE of the day for this session. It is another good experience for me to explain about the system support in the session.

Will continue with the part 2 if possible......because I still in the conference. was posted at 7pm +7.00GMT.
